Last updated: 21 May 2026.

Legal Name Clarification.

For the purposes of this statement and all associated documentation, WE-COLLECT. ETHICAL COURIERS LTD shall hereafter be referred to as “WE-COLLECT”.

1. Our Commitment.

WE-COLLECT is committed to acting ethically, responsibly and with integrity in the way we build and operate our courier service.

We do not tolerate modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, servitude, exploitation or abusive working practices in any part of our business or supply chain.

This statement sets out the steps we aim to take to reduce the risk of modern slavery and exploitation as WE-COLLECT develops.

2. Voluntary Statement.

This is a voluntary modern slavery statement.

WE-COLLECT is a developing business and may not currently meet the turnover threshold that legally requires a modern slavery statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

We are publishing this statement because we believe ethical courier work should include clear standards on safety, fairness, transparency and protection from exploitation.

Our current and future supply chain may include:

  • Restaurants, takeaways and local businesses.
  • Website, hosting and technical providers.
  • Payment providers when online payments are introduced.
  • Email, form and communication providers.

5. Our Policies And Standards.

WE-COLLECT aims to build a courier model based on responsible work, legal compliance and fair treatment.

Our approach includes:

  • Rejecting forced labour, coercion, intimidation or exploitation.
  • Expecting couriers to work legally and safely.
  • Checking relevant courier information where appropriate.
  • Maintaining a Courier Safety Code.
  • Encouraging concerns to be reported.
  • Not knowingly working with organisations involved in slavery, trafficking or forced labour.

6. Courier Standards.

Courier work can carry risks if platforms fail to check who is working, how work is being performed, or whether vulnerable people are being exploited.

WE-COLLECT aims to reduce those risks by keeping courier onboarding, safety standards and conduct rules clear.

  • Couriers may be asked for identity, age, contact or right-to-work information where required.
  • Couriers must not allow another person to use their account or work under their name without approval.
  • Couriers must not be pressured, threatened or controlled by another person to carry out work.
  • Couriers must follow safety and conduct standards.
  • Any concern about exploitation or account misuse should be reported.

7. Due Diligence.

As the business develops, WE-COLLECT may use reasonable checks to reduce the risk of modern slavery and exploitation.

These may include:

  • Reviewing courier applications manually.
  • Checking information submitted by courier applicants.
  • Monitoring reports of unsafe or suspicious courier behaviour.
  • Reviewing business relationships where concerns are raised.
  • Removing access where serious concerns are identified.
  • Escalating serious concerns to the appropriate authority where needed.

8. Risk Areas.

We recognise that modern slavery risks may exist in sectors involving temporary work, courier work, platform work, low-paid labour, outsourced services, document misuse or account sharing.

Areas we will continue to monitor include:

  • Courier account sharing or substitute working without proper controls.
  • Pressure from third parties controlling a courier’s work or earnings.
  • False or misleading registration information.
  • Unsafe working patterns or coercive behaviour.
  • Suppliers or partners with poor labour standards.
  • Any sign of forced, unpaid or exploitative work.

9. Reporting Concerns.

Anyone can report a concern about suspected exploitation, forced labour, trafficking, coercion, account misuse or unsafe courier working practices.

This includes customers, couriers, restaurants, businesses, members of the public and third parties.

Reports can be sent to: hello@we-collect.uk.

If someone is in immediate danger, they should contact the emergency services.

10. Future Training And Awareness.

WE-COLLECT has not yet introduced formal modern slavery training.

At this stage, this statement is part of our openness policy and our commitment to building the business with transparency from the start.

As the business grows, we intend to develop simple guidance for courier onboarding, warning signs, reporting concerns and ethical working standards.

  • Clear courier onboarding guidance.
  • Basic warning signs of exploitation or account misuse.
  • Guidance on how to report concerns.
  • Courier safety and conduct information.
  • Reviewing standards as the service expands.

11. Measuring Progress.

WE-COLLECT will review this statement as the business develops.

We may measure progress by monitoring:

  • Courier onboarding checks completed.
  • Safety or conduct concerns reported.
  • Reports of suspected account misuse.
  • Actions taken after serious concerns.
  • Updates to courier guidance and safety standards.
  • Supplier or partner concerns where relevant.
